Backyard Birding: Ashy Tailorbird (Orthotomus ruficeps)

My mom smiled as she was watering her plants. I could see her trying hard to act normal watching me playing "hide and seek" with the birds on her backyard. I didn't even dare to imagine what she was thinking!

Within minutes, I forgot the rest of the world when I saw another scene of "Mom and kid" of the bird's Kingdom in their world. Enjoy ;

A tiny 12cm bird but loud, they are common and easier found in mangroves. I have to warn you tho, they are fast and not very easy to photograph. I got mine waiting in one spot and with the aid of the chick. The chick was the bait...

Backyard birding is just as fun and rewarding. Besides, one hot coffee is just one shout away! (I have to stop doing this coz I find them irritates my kids!).
