Welcome to my World

Guess what? I'm home in Kota Kinabalu (KK) AGAIN this weekend...All my buddies in Labuan have gone home on leave for Christmas. Unfortunately, mine only starts after Christmas. Can't wait until that day I supposed...just have to go home. I tried staying put during last Thursday aidil adha's public holiday-I nearly gone Mad...I drove and drove and finished surveying the whole Island by car!..and I ended up with four pics!

Well, its nice to be home. Much nicer coz I get to hold and cuddle my new toy; efs55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS! That lens is now securely mounted in it's throne...the big and bad EOS 40D! my new assault rifle.

You might be wondering what has happened to my EOS 400D and my ef 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM? Well, it's now in the hand of a newly discovered talent in town-my queen! It's a real bonus to find out what she's able to do with that camera. Guess she's too good to be a side kick (remember in my old posts she used to point here and there for me to shoot it?).

Yesterday, we went hunting together with my buddy and mentor Chie Rong at Likas Bird Sanctuary. To my surprise, she managed to captured these shots;
I remember her asking in full of anxiety why all the egrets are flying around. i told her to shut up and focus her attention to her shots...she did.

I thought I was the only one who managed to capture this one...Just love the timing, look at the reflection on the water!.Too bad I forgot to bring my reference book. I couldn't determine what's the correct name for this Sandpiper.
This one is the shot of the day I guess. I didn't know we have Blue-eared Kingfisher in KK. I travelled from coast to coast to capture mine! With her patience and anticipation of the trip, she has successfully captured the smallest kingfisher in our third outings!
Last but not least...call it ambitious or whatever you like it...She had the nerve to try to pull this off;
and she did it brilliantly! Bravo my dear! this is an AWESOME shot! I couldn't do it even if I try. I am really, really proud of this shot and I want the whole wide world to know how proud I am and how talented you are. Welcome to my world! You are now officially invited to join me in my photography quest...
