my wife insisted in calling it "balingkarung" and not "mengkarung"..a name that stuck since childhood..she said it is prettier..prettier than the common house lizard..no comparison to the colors obviously..camouflaging itself against the tree's bark, one would easily missed it if not for one's sharp eyes..a tiny version of the monitor lizard..particularly endemic to Borneo..caught it on camera during night trekking at Inobong..
