Acquiring a Canon 7D by far the best investment for me as far as camera body is concerned.
The movie mode just blows my mind away. It's full HD and absolutely wonderful specially when watching with a compatible LCD...the bigger is simply-Better!
I admire the Indigo Flycatchers. They are adorable, approachable, predictable etc, etc...and BLUE! (I can't distinguish between indigo and blue...). What better to describe them than this...

Brilliant video of a gorgeous bird. DSLRs are so versatile nowadays that you have the option to capture not just the picture but how the subjects move and their sounds.
I was thinking too about 7D the other day, not you got me going. So video is excellent, a feature I would love to have too. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, and not to forget beautiful images of birds. Me too blue or indigo, oh well. Anna :)
