Birding Weekend?

Now, this weekend is unlike the previous weekends I went back to Kota Kinabalu. This time around, I was able to meet with Ron & Hazel, Ah Seng and Chai. In another words, simply with my best buddies. One or two maybe missing, but that's okay I guess...The day is't over yet, Alphonsus is also in town. Just arrived from Sandakan.

It's an exciting weekend. Ron has posted his first few shots on Flicks. Olympus E510 to show off his talent! Too bad tho' coz his 55-300mm telephoto will only arrive somewhere middle of the month. This means, birding won't be on top of his "to do" list at the moment. ( I might be wrong!)

Ah Seng is going to Sarawak for a job! Unlike his previous tour, this time his D70 & 70-300mm VR is in the bag! As a tour leader, he's only got golden opportunity to capture a wider prespective of Borneo...and of course her wildlife!

Ah Chai and I planned to go birding this coming Sunday. No fixed location just yet. We'll discuss more tonight over the Jack Daniel's Special Limited Edition! Hope it's going to be some place different. ( which I'm pretty sure it will be!). It's Ron's Mum birth today, so he'll miss Mr. Jack Daniels special tonight..( or not???).

Got an SMS text message from Ah Seng! Alphonsus and him is ready to pick me up...So, till the next update...

...Surprise!!!! it's Chai's Birthday (Thanx for the info Jude! No wonder I decided to buy the Special Limited Edition!)...

That's the fast forward version... We'd concluded that; birding day isn't Sunday. It's tomorrow! phew... Location: Someplace very special...A top secret, Non-documented place, unexplored and totally unknown(However, it's still in Kota Kinabalu vicinity)! Expectation; forest birds, forest edge birds, garden birds, etc,etc...

It is now or never...Cam- checked!, batt-checked!, Flashgun-checked!, Flashgun batt-checked!, Flashgun back-up batt-checked!, Memory card-checked!, Back-up memory card-checked!, Camera batt-checked!, Cam Back up batt- unchecked....Unchecked??? Boss, you have no backup battery!..Oppss....Wife-checked...Wife??? Boss, she's going along...You promised. Remember???No more sidekicks.... sigh...competitor...

Hahahaha... everything seems to be in place and in order. But not quite... Chai's gonna get the camo tomorrow, and so does my lovely wife!!! ...guess there's still have some shopping to do tomorrow!
